Robert Morton and Chris Lumpkin were both techs at a local Amarillo BMW dealership when they made the decision to start their own auto repair business. After seeing the direction the dealership was taking in terms of fairness to both its customers and employees, they saw there was a real need in the Amarillo area for an auto repair and maintenance option with knowledge, training, and integrity.
By working at the dealership during the day and at their own shop in the evenings (often until midnight or 1:00 am) for nearly a year, Robert and Chris managed to gather enough support and financial stability to make the shop their fulltime gig. Since then, the business took off and has grown quickly. Panhandle EuroTech now has six fulltime employees, and is busy all day, every day.
Robert is an extremely skilled technician. He started his automotive career at a Mercedes-Benz dealership where he received Mercedes training, and he went on to spend eight years at a BMW dealership. And his mechanical experience goes back even farther. From repairing farm equipment to rebuilding his first Mustang, he has the knowledge, talent, and attitude that get jobs done.
Chris started as a technician at a Chrysler dealership in 1996; however, he has training and experience working on many different makes and models, both foreign and domestic. Cars are his passion, and he enjoys a challenge.
Trevor is our quality control expert. He uses his keen eye for detail to make sure that when your car leaves here it is perfect. Trevor spends his time working on his own BMW M3 and plans to make it a full on race car one day.
Bob began working in the automotive repair industry as a technician in 1996. We were fortunate enough for him join our team in 2014. He is just the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, and with his experience as a tech, he is extremely knowledgeable. Bob is able to clearly and easily explain any issue a vehicle may have.
Ed Boren is the most experienced team member at Panhandle Eurotech. He is glowing with enthusiasm and loves posing for pictures. He has been working on cars for 13 years and somehow still enjoys doing it. He loves a challenge and gets great satisfaction from solving a problem. In his spare time he is a glass blowing artist and has an addiction to all things mechanical. He has a baby on the way and will become a father for the first time in December. He has been practicing "Dad jokes" on all of us in preperation for embarassing his kid early on in life. Ed is a pleasure to have around and is a great team member here at Panhandle Eurotech!
